    This is a summary of our policies and not legal advice.

    Introduction

    Posting Cuteness ("Posting Cuteness," "we," "our," or "us") sells custom, made-to-order pet portraits. You upload a photo of your pet, we create artwork from that photo in the style you choose, and we print and ship it to you as a physical product. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect when you visit postingcuteness.com (the "Site") and place an order, how we use and share it, and the choices and rights you have.

    The data controller responsible for your personal information is Posting Cuteness, based in Sacramento, CA. You can reach us about anything in this policy at support@postingcuteness.com.

    By using the Site or placing an order, you agree to the practices described here. If you do not agree, please do not use the Site.

    Your Pet Photo and Uploaded Images

    The pet photo you upload is the heart of your order, so we want to be completely clear about how we handle it.

    What we collect: the image file(s) you upload of your pet, along with any notes or instructions you send with them. Uploading a photo at the time you add an item to your cart is optional — you can send your photo after checkout instead.

    Where it is stored: your uploaded images are stored using Supabase, our cloud storage provider, which holds the files securely on our behalf.

    How it is used: we use your pet photo solely to create your custom portrait — generating the artwork from your photo, preparing your digital proof, producing your print, and handling any revisions you request. We do not use your pet photo to train public AI models, sell it, or use it for advertising. We do not publish or share your photo publicly without your permission.

    How your portrait is made: the portrait is AI-generated in your chosen style from the photo you upload — it is not hand-painted by a human artist. We disclose this openly because we want you to know exactly what you are buying.

    • Who can access it: only people and providers who need it to fulfill your order — our team, and the print-on-demand and storage providers we use to generate, proof, print, and ship your portrait (for example, Supabase for storage and Printify/Gelato for printing and fulfillment). These providers may only use your photo to perform services for us.
    • How long we keep it: we retain your uploaded pet photo for the duration of order fulfillment and for 90 days after delivery, after which they are permanently deleted, unless we are required to keep it longer to meet a legal obligation.
    • How to request deletion: you can ask us to delete your uploaded photo at any time by emailing support@postingcuteness.com. We will delete it unless we need to retain it briefly to complete an order in progress or to comply with the law.

    Order and Checkout Information

    When you place an order we collect the details needed to fulfill it: your name, email address, shipping address, the items and options you selected, and your order and proof history. We currently ship within the United States only, so checkout collects U.S. shipping addresses.

    Payments are processed by Stripe, our third-party payment processor, through Stripe's hosted checkout. You enter your card or digital wallet details (such as Apple Pay, Google Pay, or Link where available) directly with Stripe. We never see or store your full card number — Stripe handles card data and returns to us only what we need to confirm and fulfill your order, such as confirmation of payment and your contact and shipping details.

    Stripe processes your payment information under its own privacy policy, which we encourage you to review at stripe.com/privacy.

    Analytics and Advertising Data

    We use analytics and advertising measurement tools to understand how the Site performs and how our ads reach people. These tools may collect information such as your IP address, device and browser type, pages viewed, referring source, and actions you take on the Site (for example, viewing a product, adding to cart, or completing a purchase).

    • Meta Pixel — measures ad performance and on-site actions for Facebook/Instagram advertising.
    • Meta Conversions API (server-side) — sends purchase and conversion events from our server to Meta to measure ad results more reliably.
    • Google Analytics 4 (GA4) — measures site traffic and how visitors use the Site.
    • Vercel Web Analytics — privacy-friendly traffic and performance measurement provided by our hosting platform.

    These tools are governed by a region-aware consent model handled by the cookie banner already on the Site. If you are in the EEA or the UK, we treat tracking as opt-in: non-essential analytics and advertising tools do not load until you choose to allow them. If you are in the United States or other regions, measurement is on by default and you can opt out at any time using the banner's controls (consistent with CCPA/CPRA). Essential cookies needed for the Site to function are always active.

    Region is detected automatically from your browser settings, so this is our best-effort classification rather than a guarantee. Each third-party provider also processes data under its own privacy policy, and you can review and adjust your ad settings with Google and Meta directly. We do not sell your personal information for money.

    Marketing Emails

    If you place an order or sign up, we may send you transactional emails about your order (for example, proof approval requests, shipping updates, and support replies). With your consent where required, we may also send marketing emails about new styles, offers, and updates.

    You can unsubscribe from marketing emails at any time by clicking the "unsubscribe" link at the bottom of any marketing email, or by emailing support@postingcuteness.com and asking us to stop. Unsubscribing from marketing does not stop essential transactional emails about an order you have placed.

    How We Use Your Information

    • To create your custom portrait from your uploaded photo, prepare your digital proof, and process revisions.
    • To process your order and payment through Stripe and to print and ship your product.
    • To send order-related communications such as proof approvals, shipping updates, and support replies.
    • To provide customer support and honor our revision and money-back guarantee.
    • To measure and improve the Site and our advertising, subject to the consent model described above.
    • To send marketing emails where you have not opted out (and, where required, where you have opted in).
    • To detect, prevent, and address fraud, abuse, and technical issues, and to comply with our legal obligations.

    How We Share Information

    We share personal information only as needed to run our business:

    • Service providers — Supabase (image and data storage), Stripe (payment processing), Printify and Gelato (print-on-demand production and fulfillment), our email provider, and our analytics/advertising providers (Meta, Google, Vercel). They may use your information only to perform services for us.
    • Legal and safety — when required by law, to respond to lawful requests, or to protect our rights, customers, or the public.
    • Business transfers — in connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, subject to this policy.

    We do not sell your personal information for money, and we do not share your uploaded pet photos with advertisers.

    Data Security

    We use appropriate technical and organizational measures to protect your personal information, including encrypted, hosted infrastructure for storage and checkout. Payment card data is handled by Stripe and never stored on our systems. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.

    Data Retention

    We keep order and account information for as long as needed to provide our products, support your order, honor our guarantee, and meet legal, tax, and accounting obligations, after which we delete or anonymize it.

    We retain your uploaded pet photo for the duration of order fulfillment and for 90 days after delivery, after which they are permanently deleted. You can ask us to delete it sooner by emailing support@postingcuteness.com (see "Your Pet Photo and Uploaded Images" above).

    Your Rights Under GDPR (EEA and UK)

    If you are in the European Economic Area or the United Kingdom, you have the following rights regarding your personal data:

    • Right of access — request a copy of your personal data.
    • Right to rectification — ask us to correct inaccurate data.
    • Right to erasure — ask us to delete your personal data, including your uploaded pet photo.
    • Right to restrict processing — ask us to limit how we use your data.
    • Right to data portability — receive your data in a machine-readable format.
    • Right to object — object to processing based on legitimate interests or to direct marketing.
    • Right to withdraw consent — withdraw consent at any time where we rely on it, including via the cookie banner for analytics and advertising.

    Your Rights Under CCPA/CPRA (California Residents)

    If you are a California resident, you have the following rights under the California Consumer Privacy Act, as amended by the CPRA:

    • Right to know — request the categories and specific pieces of personal information we collect, use, and disclose.
    • Right to delete — request deletion of your personal information, including your uploaded pet photo.
    • Right to correct — request correction of inaccurate personal information.
    • Right to opt out of sale or sharing — opt out of the "sale" or "sharing" of personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising. You can exercise this through the cookie banner's opt-out controls.
    • Right to non-discrimination — we will not discriminate against you for exercising your rights.

    Children's Privacy

    Our Site and products are intended for adults, and placing an order requires you to be at least 18 years old as set out in our Terms of Service; the ages below describe data-collection floors, not purchase eligibility. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13 (or under 16 in the EEA/UK). If you believe a child has provided us personal information, contact us at support@postingcuteness.com and we will delete it.

    Changes to This Privacy Policy

    We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will post the revised version here and update the "Last Updated" date. Please review it periodically.
